The Emergency Veterinary Clinic of Waterloo Region is open any time you need us, all day and night including on all statutory holidays to address sudden pet illnesses & injuries.

Handling an Emergency

If you do have a pet emergency on your hands, decisions can sometimes be the difference between life and death for your pet. Despite that, it’s important to not show that you’re under pressure, as it can oftentimes stress your pet out even more.

Instead, you should try to call your standard vet. If they don’t answer, you can either give us a call or bring your pet in. It’s crucial to transport your pet to us gingerly. You should either put them in a box or swaddle them in blankets and let them ride in the backseat. Bring your pet inside slowly, especially in the case of an injury, so you don’t aggravate it further. Once you arrive at our office, we’ll take care of your pet from there.
